French Kiwi Juice: The "pioneer" of the new New French House Genre

Vincent Fenton, who goes by FKJ (short for French Kiwi Juice) is a producer, beatmaker, and multi-instrumentalist from France. His chill urban beats are the perfect vibe for a low-key Friday evening or a homework-filled Sunday morning.

I had the chance to see FKJ live in concert at The Warfield when I was in San Francisco last August. The only FKJ song I was familiar with was Tadow (a collaboration with Masego), which went viral on Youtube with over 215 million views. I came out of the venue blown away, from FKJ’s live loopings through Ableton to the cool graphics backing the beats and the overall crowd energy.

FKJ is expanding groove in modern music through encompassing universal creativity. Take a listen one of my favorite FKJ songs, Vibin’ Out, which he recorded with his wife June Marieezy who goes by the symbol (((O))).

Or, if you want to check out a live FKJ performance, he played an exclusive live set in the world’s largest salt flat (Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia) in February 2019 that was nothing short of epic.
