Goth Babe is Griff Washburn, who writes, records, and produces his music in the back of his camper 1996 Ford F-250 using solar power. Goth Babe started recording music in his college dorm room in Nashville, and following a brief stint in New York City, he headed for the West Coast in 2017. Since then, he’s been surfing, hiking, and climbing his way up and down the coast of California and Oregon with his dog.
From raw garage surf lo-fi to more developed dreamy indie-pop, Goth Babe’s West Coast alternative is perhaps more a lifestyle than a genre. "Moments / Tides" is the latest single from Goth Babe, which he dropped on August 5th. And shit, this song is catchy. It also proves that while his later music is a little more polished than earlier works, Goth Babe continues to stay in touch with his roots.
